About Soor Academy
Soor Academy was conceived in the year 1989 by Pallavi Mehta in Ghatkopar, Mumbai. It started with three students and there has been no looking back since then. It has been 35 years of the musical journey and currently, the academy constitutes people from all walks of life including young enthusiastic students, dedicated homemakers, and professionals.
The academy caters as a forum for music enthusiasts wanting to further their knowledge of Hindustani classical music. Sitarguru academy is teaching instrumental and vocal music to all the sects and classes of people across the globe.

About – Ms. Pallavi Mehta
Ms. Mehta studied Sitar under Pandit Shree Laxmikantbhai Doshi (well-known Sarodist from Gujarat), Pandit Kartik Kumarji (National sitarist and disciple of Pandit Ravi Shankar) and Pandit Rasik Hazareji from Maihar Gharana.
Ms. Mehta has been a “World Music” mentor at California State University (East Bay), Hayward, California, and a music instructor at Better World Music School, Hayward, California. She believes that our mind and soul get long-lasting peace through music. Ms. Pallavi Mehta’s ultimate objective is to spread the knowledge of classical Indian music far and wide.
